Helping students log in

To reset or change a student’s password please follow the steps below.

1Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2Click on Management Tools.

 

 

3Click on View/Manage Students.

 

 

4Click on on lock icon.

 

 

5Type a temporary password and make sure and click the save button. The student’s account information and new password has now been emailed to them!

To edit a student’s name, username, or to switch levels, please follow the steps below.

1Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2Click on Management Tools.

 

 

3Click on View/Manage Students.

 

 

4Click on pencil icon.

 

 

5 Now you can change student name, level, and username.

 

 

6 Save the changes by clicking on the green arrow.

Extra resources – Teachers

1Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2Click on Extra Resources.

 

 

3Select a category. Make sure and check in from time to time as resources will be added!

 

 

4To download all the Audio files from a level, click on the Audio tab. The files will download directly to your computer. You can now add them to any device you like!

 

 

5To download and print assessment files for a level, click on the Assessments tab. The files will download directly to your computer. You can now print and administer them to your class!

 

 

6To download the Teacher’s Guide for a level, click on the Guides tab. The Teacher’s Guide will download directly to your computer.

 

 

7To access the alphabet, numbers or colors click on each tab.

 

 

8Select a number from the top list.  To hear the number click on the speaker icon.

 

 

9Select a color from the top list.  To hear the color click on the speaker icon.

 

 

10Select letter from the top list.  To hear the letter click on the speaker icon. To hear the word click on the 2nd speaker icon.

Switching levels – Teachers

1 Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2 Click on on the Switch Levels link.

 

 

3 Select the level.

 

 

4 Now you are on Level 2.

Reporting

Please note we are working on new and improving teaching and reporting features to be released for the upcoming school year. 

1Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2Click on Management Tools.

 

 

3Click on View/Manage Students.

 

 

4Here teachers can see how the total number of logins and also the last time each student logged into the platform.

 

 

5Go back to the side menu tab and click on the Reporting.

 

 

6Click on Students Performance.

 

 

7Choose a student.

 

 

 

8Student reporting data can be found at the bottom of the page. Data shown includes what has been completed, performance by percentage, and how many times the games have been played.

 

 

9To check a students quiz scores, click on the icon farthest right. This will open up a new window showing the student’s quiz results.

 

10Select the lesson from the drop down menu.

 

11Here we can see each individual answer.

 

 

12To check the students overall performance click on Your Score.

 

 

13Here we see the students overall quiz results.

Student groups

1Click on on the Menu Tab on the upper left hand side.

 

 

2Click on Management Tools.

 

 

3Click on View/Manage Groups.

 

 

4Create new group by clicking on + sign.

 

 

5Name the group, provide and description and comment if you like.

 

 

6Click on View/Manage Students.

 

 

7Select the student you want to add to the group, then click on the group icon.

 

 

8Drag the student group to to the right. Now you have added the student to this group. Make sure and save your changes!

 

 

9Click on View/Manage Students.

 

 

10Click on the group icon.

 

 

11Now you see the student group!

Ebook – GX Support Teachers

1The Ebook is where you go to access the Student’s Book from a tablet. Access the Ebook by clicking on the Ebook tab.

 

 

2Just like the Student’s Book, each level contains 5 units.

 

 

3Each unit contains 5 lessons and a review section with song and Storytime episode.

 

 

4Once inside the lessons, we see the structure and layout is the same as the Student’s Book.

 

 

5To go from page to page within the lesson, use the arrow buttons on the lower right hand side.

 

 

6Click on the red speaker icon to hear the audio from that section.

 

 

7Click on the red video icon to watch animated lesson video.

Videos – Teachers

1Click the Videos tab.

 

 

2The Videos go along with sections from the Student’s Book.

 

Ongoing Storytime adventure videos from each Student’s Book!

 

Lesson videos bring the books to  life and reinforce subject matter learned.

 

Animated Song videos with original melodies and lyrics using only words already taught in lessons.

 

 

3Clicking on one of the categories opens all the videos. Above we see the lesson videos for level 2.

Quizzes – Teachers

1Click on the Quizzes tab.

 

 

2 Click on the menu tab on the right corner to navigate.

 

 

3 Select the the Unit.

 

 

4 Select the Lesson and Exercise.

 

 

5 Answer each question by selecting the correct answer.

 

 

6 Use the side arrow keys to navigate from exercise to exercise.

 

 

7 When finished answering, submit your answers by clicking on the bottom icon.

 

 

8 To check overall performance click on Your Score.

 

 

9 Here we see the overall score for each unit.

Projecting lessons

1To project lessons in the classroom click on the IWB (Interactive White Board) tab. Lessons can be projected with IWB software or via a computer and projector (not tablets or mobile phones).
